Listen to a live shoutcast?
When a cast goes live and is streaming on our servers, you will be able to see the status of the shoutcast by viewing the front page. On the top left of that page, a list of our shoutcast servers can be seen. If it is green, it means that a cast is currently live on this server.
To the right of live servers will be 3 links to listen to the cast in various formats.
- The first link will direct you to Gamestah On-Demand, our online player. You do not require any external software to use this option, simply click on the link, and the cast will be available to listen to in a new window.
- The second link will allow you to listen to the cast using Windows Media Player.
- The third link will allow you to listen to the cast using Winamp.
Watch a live video cast?
Gamestah is proud to offer video casting as one of our services to the gaming community via our Gamestah TV service. With video casting, not only do you get our well-respected and much-requested shoutcasting experience, but you can also see the game with your own eyes and witness first-hand the battles covered by Gamestah.
To watch a video cast:
- Click on the GTV-VOD link in the navigation
- On this page, you will be presented firstly with a list of our video cast channels. Some are used for online events, others are used for LAN events. Check the event details on the Events page for more info on which server will be used. This page will also contain the latest video casts available to the public for viewing.
- Clicking on a channel will open that channel up and present the user with the video player which will stream our video casts if they are online. Please note that the player will try and connect to the stream regardless of whether there is a cast going on that server or not. If the video does not play after 30 seconds, it is possible that there is no cast currently being streamed on that server.
Download or listen to a shoutcast?
Gamestah is proud to boast one of the largest file libraries of Shoutcasts & Videos in the world.
You are able to choose whether to download the entire cast, or listen to a streamed version from the website (which works like Youtube for example).
To download a cast:
- Click on the Files link in the top navigation or browse to the URL http://www.gamestah.com/files
- Navigate the file library by clicking on the categories of the file you are wishing to view. Categories can have sub-categories and so on, ordering the casts by game, by competition, by year etc. Alternatively, you can use the search function to the right to search for the file you wish to download.
- You will then be presented the option of either streaming the file from the Gamestah site (the LISTEN TO buttons) or downloading it (the DOWNLOAD buttons) and listening to it on your favourite media player.
Downloaded files are MP3's. Streamed files are played in the browser, no external programs needed.
Enjoy countless hours of gaming at its best!
Request a shoutcast?
Requesting a shoutcast helps Gamestah keep track of the matches that you, the listener, want to hear. To request a shoutcast, you can use the big red button in the navigation called REQUEST. On the left of this page is a form, where you can fill out the information of the match you wish to have shoutcasted. Please fill out as much information as possible.
Please be thoughtful with the priority selection, generally we recommend setting a request to Low for normal matches, Medium for higher-ranked team matches or grudge matches and High for finals matches.
We endevour to cover all matches that are requested, however, during peak hours and finals periods, we may not be able to cover all requested matches.

Request an archived file?
Gamestah.com provides countless hours of video and audio of the best that worldwide E-Sports has to offer. With Gamestah's push to video casting comes with the unfortunate side effect of a lot more storage space being used. To combat this issue, we have had to archive all casts from before January 1st, 2009. You will be unable to stream or download casts from before that date.
Never fear, however. We have our whole backlog of casts, both audio and video, available on request. Just visit the Contact Us page and get in contact with us about which file you want us to retrieve and we'll re-upload it and make it available in the File Library once more.
Files brought out of the archive will be available for 5 days before going back into the archives again.
