They were supposed to play two weeks ago - but players were capped....... They were then supposed to play tonight - but....... players are capped......... So this Wednesday night at 9pm AEST, the Call of Duty 4 final for season 6 gets it's groove on in what will be one of the biggest matches of Call of Duty 4 for some months as we see Qlimax Crew and Sushi meet up in a best of 3 map face off.

So why is it that Arsey is so excited about the prospect of this match, and has been veritably bouncing off the walls with excitement!?

I've seen 215 Call of Duty 4 matches in my time with Gamestah, and over that time I've followed Qlimax Crew, and enVy as a lot of the players were in their former life, since they were in the CGo. They pushed their way through CGo, in to CGm, and then to CGi where in it's final season they lost the Grand Final to Team Immunity:

Since that match they have continued to dominate CoD4, and then CoD:WaW in very convincing fashion with their recent CEVO success being just one of the accolades this team has picked up in their time together.

The team is made up of a number of very good all round players, as well as a few players who carry big reputations. They started Season 6 in fairly horrid fashion losing a few CoD4 games while arguably they had big flashing CEVO WaW dollar signs on their screens, but they have been undefeated in their last 9 matches. They hold the current CoD4 season title, and they do of course continue to dominate in WaW CGi, CTF and are the top of the CoD4 HQ ladder where they receive a challenge once every millenium because of the win margins they have been posting......

So why would and should I be excited about this Grand Final? After all, there's been 6 seasons of CoD4, and a team called Sushi is bound to be just carved up by the juggernaut that is Qlimax - right?

Sushi, or Equalizer in their former life, have been on the CoD4 ladders for a long time in the player's various shapes and forms. They are a team who have performed on and off, and all of a sudden they have risen to fame by taking out the Team Dino boys who according to the CG polls were second favourites to go up against Qlimax and challenge for the season title. But a 2 maps to nil semi final changed that landscape.

Sushi have taken out the GameArena season 3 title in impressive undefeated form. But more importantly in this author's eyes, they have picked up the services of a player named Sensuki. The last time Sensuki was involved with a top Call of Duty 4 team, that team went on to take to some rando team named Team Immunity. In fact if you recall this match:

the result was that overRated as they were known managed to be the first team to take a map off Immunity in the online arena - no mean feat when you consider the might of the team who went through undefeated in their three CGi championships. So the question is put out as to whether the same can apply to Sushi as applied to overRated - can Sensuki take a team who are evidently very good based on their GA winning streak, and help them using his strategic and cool headed prowess in the Promod arena? Can they take down a CoD4 juggernaut?

So if you haven't been given the ability to read between the lines, or pick up my subtleties, then I'll give it to you straight. Qlimax are a powerhouse right now in Call of Duty. Sushi have shown their mettle to win finals albeit in the lesser respected GA arena, and add Sensuki to their team list, and you have a team who can step up to the plate. The two teams have already met twice on the less fancied Ravens, and the more mainstream Crash, where Sushi lost on both occasions by only slim margins. The CG tips are in favour of Qlimax, and certainly if the bookies were out, they'd have the odds fixed firly in favour of Qlimax also, but I refuse to believe that Sushi can be written off - in fact, I'm pretty sure they'll be enjoying the fact that they can sit by idly, and let Qlimax get the pressure of expectation to win.

All the above said, if you wanted to hear and see some of what will be the best CoD4 action you will see before the top players likely leave for the next CoD instalment, then tune in live this Wednesday (2/9) at 9pm AEST on Gamestah. It has all the makings of a notable match in CoD history - GET SOME!

I'll say one more thing... as we've said a few times before Arsey (and in reference to Sushi once during the GA finals)

it's Unstoppable Force meets Immovable Object!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
